Expense Manager
Thank you for using our Expense Manager Mobile Application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a secure environment for managing your daily expenses.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our App. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1 Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information or data that can identify you. The App operates offline by default and does not make API calls or share data with third parties.
However, if you choose to use the Google Drive Backup & Restore feature, the App will store your backup files in a private, secure location within your Google Drive. This data is accessible only to your account and cannot be viewed by us or other apps.
2 Information You Provide
You can input and store financial data including expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, and payment mode details — organized across one or more profiles. This data is:
- Stored locally on your device
- Optionally backed up to a private location in your Google Drive (if you enable the backup feature)
We do not collect, transmit, or share this information with any servers or third parties.
3 How We Use Your Information
All data you enter into the App is used solely to provide the App's functionality on your device. We do not process or analyze your data externally. It remains entirely under your control.
4 Data Security
We take data security seriously. All information is:
- Stored locally on your device in secure storage
- Optionally backed up to a private, secure location in your Google Drive accessible only to the App
We do not have access to your data at any point.
5 Permissions
The App requests minimal permissions — only those required for core functionality:
- Google Sign-In (OAuth) for cloud backup authentication
- Google Drive access for secure cloud backup (if you use the backup feature)
- Camera & Storage for attaching receipt images to transactions
- Biometric (Fingerprint/Face ID) for app lock security
- Notifications for smart reminders and recurring transaction alerts
No unnecessary permissions (e.g., contacts, location, microphone) are requested. All permissions are optional and requested only when you use the related feature.
6 Advertising
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve relevant ads, including:
- Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
- General device information (model, OS version)
- Ad interaction data (clicks, impressions)
This data is collected by Google, not by us. We do not have access to any personally identifiable information through ads. You can learn more about Google's data practices at Google's Privacy Policy.
Premium users can remove all ads through an in-app purchase.
7 In-App Purchases
The App offers optional premium features through Google Play In-App Purchases. Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.
8 Data and Account Deletion
You have full control over your data and account connection.
To delete local data:
- Use the "Clear Data" or "Reset" option inside the App (if available)
- Or simply uninstall the App — which permanently removes all stored data from your device
To delete backup data from Google Drive:
- 1 Visit Google Drive Settings → Manage Apps
- 2 Locate Expense Manager in the list of connected apps
- 3 Click Options → Delete app data to permanently remove all backups
To disconnect your Google Account:
Visit Google Account → Security → Third-party access and remove Expense Manager from the list of connected apps.
Once deleted, no personal or financial data remains accessible.
9 Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Expense Manager is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we strive to deliver a reliable and accurate experience, we do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from data loss.
- No liability for data loss or corruption. All financial data is stored locally on your device. We are not responsible for any loss, corruption, or inaccuracy of data caused by device failure, app updates, operating system changes, user error, or any other circumstance.
- No liability for financial decisions. The app is a personal tracking tool, not financial advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
- Backup is the user's responsibility. We provide Google Drive backup as an optional feature. It is your responsibility to maintain regular backups of your data. We are not liable for data that cannot be recovered due to missing or outdated backups.
- Third-party services. Features that rely on third-party services (Google Drive, Google Sign-In, Firebase) are subject to those services' own terms and availability. We are not responsible for outages or changes to third-party services.
- No multi-device sync. Expense Manager is a single-device application. Data is not synchronized across devices in real time. Restoring a backup on a different device replaces all existing data on that device.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Expense Manager and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial inaccuracy, arising from the use or inability to use the app.
10 Updates to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting within the App or on this webpage. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
